Gandhi is celebrating his 141st birthday today! Whether his non violence principle holds good today? What will he think of the current political scenerio? Will he hail Jaswant Singh as the neutral politician? Will he consider today's politicians as politicians in the true sense? Will he sacrifice his life now for the country?
1 st and 5 th ... yes! 3 rd and 4 th... big no! i think 2 nd is the most tough question! ... according to me Gandhi wouldn't have been famous if he had born in this era! which party would have welcomed him... ??? hi ezhil... welcome to blog world....
ReplyDeletenon-violence holds gud....till the last lungs of this mankind breathes...esp now, in such a terror struck scenario, solutions can be obtained only thru' negotiations and non-violence, rather than fighting each other...!
ReplyDeleteand wat if Gandhi is living today? thats interesting..i presume he would have never joined politics...may be as NGO, he would have tried to do something for poor...our politics is so sick now,it would hav made Gandhi to quit if he had tried to enter politics..
Even during 40's he played a mute role in partition with nobody heeding to his plea for non-partition..! his job was over wen he got the independence..after that, even Nehru was helpless in executing his requests...! controversies apart, this generation has a lot to learn from this great man...his simplicity being the top most virtue!!!!
